Curriculum

The Wee Clover Preschool is for children that are three and four year old and are potty trained. These students attend preschool from 8:00 to 11:30. Three year olds attend Tuesday and Thursday. The four year olds come Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They will arrive on buses with parent pick up at 11:30. Students will receive breakfast upon arrival. The fee to attend is $10.00 a day. The preschool schedule will follow the district schedule for USD 473. Lesson plans will include carefully planned developmentally appropriate activities, including the Zoo Phonics curriculum, to help develop each child’s growth in language, fine motor, and large motor, mathematical, social emotional, cognitive and self help skills. Outdoor play will also be offered during this time. The Wee Clover Preschool’s main focus is Kindergarten Readiness.

Teacher, Renee Jury

I received my Bachelor and Masters Degree from Kansas State University in Elementary Education. I started my tenure with USD 473 at Rural Center teaching first and second combination. After two years I moved to Chapman Elementary and taught thirty one years as a third grade teacher. I retired in May 2014. I was asked to return and teach Preschool at Rural Center in August 2016. It has been a wonderful experience to come back in this capacity. I love seeing the growth and development in their little minds and bodies.
